Sweeties Candy Cottage has been a great friend to Camp Alvernia. Lisa’s kids have been Camp Alvernia campers for years, and Sweetie’s was one of the main sponsors of Hobbes’ 1st Birthday Party fundraiser this past fall!  Without the generosity of Sweetie’s, that great fundraiser could not have happened.

So just what is inside that tiny little yellow candy cottage on 25A?  It looks like a kid’s candy store, but one step inside that door and you’ll realize this place is an adult’s dream as well.

Sure, you can get your regular Almond Barks, Almond Buttercrunch, and Coconut Clusters, but there is so much more! Unique recipes with mouthwatering concoctions fill the chocolate showcase.  For example:

Oh Mama!, which is named after the first words coming out of owner Lisa Hodes’ mouth the first time she tasted her new creation.  This chocolate is truly an original filled with favorites such as caramel, marshmallows, peanut butter and yes pretzels.

Good Morning Sunshine, a white chocolate mélange with cereal, coconut and marshmallows.

Snack Attak!, a mixture of potato chips and popcorn engulfed in dark chocolate and drizzled with milk and white chocolates.

Other originals are Toffee Bark, Pretzel Bark, Peanut Butter Caramel S’mores, chocolate-covered Caramel Brownies, Oreo Supreme, Gone to Heaven, and the new Rock ‘n Roll – a twist on the usual Rocky Road.

Sweeties also takes these scrumptious tastes and turns them into chocolate pizzas sold as full pies or new original individual pizza slices…a perfect small gift or just a great treat for yourself!
