Mark your calendar for the weekend of May 22 - 23! Camp Alvernia is having a Family Fun Extravaganza to raise money for our new pool project, open to ALL!
Tentative slate of activities:
- DJ
- 3 on 3 basketball tournament
- Dunk Tank
- Alvernian Idol singing competition
- Dance Dance Revolution tournament
- Take out a canoe, kayak, or sailboat, or take a ride in one
- Caricaturist/Airbrush artist
- Temporary tattoos
- Cotton candy, ice cream, popcorn, etc.
- Great food!
- Yoga class
- Karate class
- Build an edible structure out of candy legos
- Animal show
- Fun Run
- Carnival booths
- 50/50 raffle
- Gift basket raffle
- Sponsor a brick and have your family or business name permanently engraved on the brick patio of the new pool!
- Become a Pool Slide sponsor and have your family or business name permanently posted on one of our pool slides! It’s a great chance to get your name out to hundreds of local children every day of the summer!

Business Partners, Sponsors, Raffle Basket Donations
Do you know businesses that would be interested in partnering with us in this event? We’re looking for food sponsors, booth sponsors, and raffle basket donations. Last year we had well over 300 people attend from just the camp community and with almost no advertising. We expect this year’s two-day extravaganza, open to the public, will draw in excess of 1000 people! It’s an amazing opportunity to get the word out! Please email if you have any thoughts or ideas.
A-Way Team Mission #4: Family Fun Extravaganza
Would you and/or your campers like to volunteer to help us put together this great event? The A-Way Team will be helping us get sponsors and donations in the next few weeks, and will help man the booths and direct traffic. Even if you can only give us an hour of your time, we’d love to have you! Email ASAP if you and/or your campers would like to help out! The more the merrier!
